Words

Words

A Poem by Tabitha Marie

Words are words

Whether you believe them or not is your choice

Words can help, or save, or even cut like swords

So why should you believe the words of ones voice?

Words can decieve you

Words can break you down

Or convince someone not to leave you

Even though they could leave you to drown

Words are lies, but some the truth

So how can you begin to choose,

The words that may help soothe,

From the words that people say to abuse

I wish that all the words said were true

And that no distinguishing had to be done

But I hope that every word I hear from you

Is true, like that I'm the only one

And that when you say I'm beautiful

At every hour of each day

That the truth from you is bountiful

With every word you say
