I am Yours

 

I think of you when the night falls

I breathe your scent with every dawn

I kiss your lips when the birds hum and when the wind blows

I touch you and kiss you all night long

 

I take you in my arms before I go to bed

In my dreams, I embrace you on a bed of roses and lucky charms

I take myself on a journey of a real make believe and my heart begs

To hold you close, live and die between your arms

 

I allow my fingers to trace your lips

Those rosy temptations

I pause but I can’t resist

The hypnotizing sensations

 

I pull you closer to me

I bury my head deep in your chest

I found my home here

I need not look around, it’s right here with you that I can rest

 

Forgive me for loving you so
for I cannot stop where I’m heading

Pardon me for the affection I show

I belong to you for as long as I’m living

 

You’ve given me the best things in life

But I can only offer you “ME”

I belong to you fully; I’ll be yours for life

I’m yours body and soul and I shall always be

I was missing him, and I let my feelings just flow on paper...That was my inspiration for this poem.
