Lipstick

A Poem by moog-drika

A collapse has parked itself on the sky.

Can it hold up?

Weak essence, yet it feels so manly.

Inequality holds all the fame.

Meanwhile, inequity has been kept camouflaged.

I love your work and you are welcome.
Challenges the reader (as other reviewers confess). I like the enigmatic words and cryptic message. That which is weak can seem manly to shallow minds and the feeble fiber of injustice gets more airtime for fake news and mendacious policies than truth and beauty.

At least, that's what it said to me... the soft lips of reality smeared with a superficial slick.

I confess, I did not know what your poem meant until I read some of your reviews. Now I can see the "woman's movement" idea from your words . . . but for me, this kind of nuanced writing is not an easy read. Still, I want to learn to be more inclusive & not reject stuff that's written in a way that does not align with my reading preferences, so I thank you for helping me grow in that way (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

A fine poem, and the first line struck me as a perfect description of myself here on the Austrian- German border with a disaster area due to snow. This is how poetry can call to people. Fine write!
