Wanting You

 

I find myself of late in a position that seems never-ending

Trying to win your heart, yet your position never bending

The dull ache inside my chest its pain most numbing

The birds that flitter past it is your name I hear them humming

If you could only see in my heart that for you I am hurting

Then maybe there would be some hope and it would all start working

To see love for me in your eyes I would bear pain no matter how tormenting

To hear that love expressed I would face spectres no matter how haunting

To feel you move against me I’d face dangers no matter how daunting

I find myself in a position of late aching, needing, wanting...
