Life Music

Life Music

A Poem by Dressed in Poetry

Give her a beat

And she’d think of a song -

Give her one note

And her heart would sing -

Nearly any sound possessed

The ability to make her feel.

Blaring guitars and crazy bass -

Loud drums and heavy lyrics -

Could make the world

Scream or cry alongside her,

But so too could the soft

Simple melodies that

Acoustic sounds possessed.

Heavy metal to a dance floor beat -

A classic rock song to an indie tune -

It was all perfect,

As long as it screamed one thing

Into her ears: emotion.

Any emotion -

Just make it real -

And the song would be

In her heart

Forever.

Without music, the world can have no feelings.

Nicely expressed. =)
