Revolution

Revolution

A Poem by Dressed in Poetry

Falling faster

Like a shooting star

Accelerating

To velocities untouchable

By anything sublunary

Perceived only as light

Hurling through the nighttime sky

Wished upon and

Forgotten

Like the image of a flower

Crushed beneath the fateful

Wheel in the street

Only remembered when

It is representative of

How you treat me

Like I am wonderful

Perfect when it is just

You and I

But once you realize

The world still revolves

When I am there or no

I am just something

To be thrown to

Stop the turning

By making me

Fall faster.
