A Poem by David Scott

Destiny was flirting with Chance,

never realizing they were dancing

to the tune of my choosing.

I love the personification of destiny & chance here. Beautifully written. Short but ever so effective.

If only we could remember what we were thinking before we wrote the script...hahahaha
Ah hell with it, where is the adventure in that, right? :) By the way, I totally agree

Hey Will. Thanks for stopping in. Dance away! :)
I think random coincidence is infrequent if it exists at all. Synchronicity may not be planned but the two converging events or crossing paths are never random. The roll of the dice may be random, but not that the hand rolled them. I'm not certain I can even adequately explain except to say that I believe we plan possibilities before each birth.
I am so happy to have come across such an intelligent, gently sarcastic poem this morning. I'm looking forward to reading more of yours.

It is so much easier to sing along when that happens. Controlling one's own destiny takes all of the chance out of it, wouldn't that be nice...or maybe not. You know what they say, be careful what you ask for. This was great David, nice play on words.

That deserves a "buahhhahhahaa" after it! I can almost see the villain in a cartoon rubbing his hands together while reading the poem! We can control destiny....to a degree anyway. I liked this. Lydi**
