United But Torn

I wrote this poem for a friend that waas in a twisted relationship with my step-sister. At every turn they faced an obsticle that made it hard but they held on.

Together at heart, but torn in the mind

A way to true love seems impossible to find

Don't want to give up, don't want to give in

To all the negative thoughts that reside within

 

A love so strong, it just won't break

Negative energy so powerful, love seems so fake

Pain in both minds, thorns in both hearts

Love is rapidly broken down into many different parts

 

Two doves from different world have come to meet

They've fallen from the tree and landed on both feet

They soared into the air and avoided the ground

But the rain took aim and they were quickly shot down

 

Diversity reaching, debauchery setting in

They have to start over but don't know where to begin

United at heart, but torn down at the soul

Love is searching for a way to be whole

 

Piece by piece love starts to reunite

All of its parts with all of its might

Pain in both minds, both hearts pierced by a thorn

They remain united through love while partically torn
