Haiku poem prayer for Japan.
Nature is often idealized and romanticised
like love but nature can be cruel and evil.
The title plays on the romanticism of nature
and love, and the word lovesick.
The title is inspired by McCarthy's "Antinature" which is used as a theme for my poem.
Forgive the format as I'm not used to writing haiku's so I don't think I've written it right. But the point was to write a short haiku like poem for Japan.

Thinking of Japan and the survivors and victims.
It's a terrible, cruel and unbelievable moment in history.

The statistics of dead and missing in Japan right now are heart-wrenching, and the sad broken homes, damaged buildings, and all those people trying to put together what pieces they can find, makes my stomach do ungodly flips. I wish for their happiness and well being, and that they suffer no more... It's been too much. This was a powerful but simple haiku... I liked it.
Wonderful wordcrafting, I know haiku is so much about the form, but for me it is always the essence of the work and how it moves me that strikes the loudest chord. Such a shame that tragedy like this should be the inspiration of such a beautiful work though. Excellent work, compassionate, evocative, healing.
