An Angel

An Angel

A Poem by Duckyy

An Angel

She's your hopes,
Your dreams,
But it seems,
Dreams die.

Who do you thank?
It's not God,
But she's a star,
A star you wish on.

A star that takes all the pain away,
And exchange it for happiness,
That can change your day,
Into a less sappy way.

She saves you,
But who saves her?
No one,
Her sacrifice is your freedom,
Your happiness,
Your life.

She's a figure of your shadow,
She follows you everywhere,
She's your pride,
She's your joy,
She's also innocent,
And Magnificent.

You can say she is ghost like,
But she doesn't wear a mask,
And she finishes her task.
We take her for granted,
But she doesn't mind,
Instead she takes her time.

Next time,
Thank your angel.
