Yesterday Maybe

Yesterday Maybe

A Poem by Cheavel DeLuna

Horses in my dreams.

Like waves.

Like the sea.

Marigold in novels,

of unspoken questions.

Speak to me heavenly.

For I have lost my way.

Open my eyes,

and let me see orange skies.

Rivers run through valleys.

Like tears.

Like a dead man.

Let me hear the voices.

For I know that they are there,

and they must be revealed,

if I’ll ever understand.

Fish cloud my oceans.

Like fog.

Like December.

I’m searching for a place.

So secluded, so invisible,

that it never could be found.

By the highest of the people.

Lights behind my eyes.

Like aurora.

Borealis.

Voices in my head.

Direct me through the grape vines.

I don’t know where I’m going.

But I know I’ll find you there.

I can't stop reading your poems mate !
something I cherish about them is that every time i start reading your words I need to think a lot from beginning to end. That's powerful... Seriously powerful...
You are a great writer. Keep it up :)
