New Shade of Blue

New Shade of Blue

A Poem by Dusty Mondy
"

A Track off of Alias Punch album#2, New Shade of Blue

"
No thank you, Pep talk,
Tuck in your shirt,
Go on and add to my stress,
Sad to say I see your sly,
On your sleeves,
When you're still only wearing a vest,

I tried a new pair of pants the other day,
But the pocket wouldn't hold my hand,
The bow tie barely wrapped around my neck,
Did you use it to strangle some man?

And then your color karma,
Fell right down to the bottom of the bargain bin,
I experimented all different ways,
But I never found the socks that I fit in,
Well, I guess that's what I get,
For all the dirty things I did to you,
I never thought I could find,
This new shade of blue

In myself I find your new shade of blue

It has a very interesting tune. I enjoyed reading it for that purpose. Although, I must confess, this piece seemed to have left me behind. I don't quite know what it's about... Which makes me feel pretty bad. And now I'm babbling again. Well, the tune is very nice, very nice. I just wish I knew a bit more about the meaning. Don't worry though, I shall ponder this. I really will.
Haha, I'm glad to say that I have found a very curious piece, it truly makes me think. The other one I did made me think as well, I know realize. Hm... Haha, it's been a long time since I was able to tell someone that. I'll have you know it's one of my highest complements. So congratulate yourself!
...
I think my reviews are getting a bit too long now.... I'm more then positive that you won't read more then half of this. But, just in case, I'll repeat, this was a nice piece, a piece I enjoyed.
Great write.
