bleeding roses

bleeding roses

A Poem by Dylan Posthuma

I watch the roses bleed
Dying slowly on the desk
I watch the roses bleed
Its the death of innocence
Bleeding, dying, decomposing
Lets watch the roses bleed
Be my witness
Be my friend
Lets watch the roses bleed
Innocence is fading
The pedals fall to the floor
I watch the roses bleeding
'Till innocence is no more
Now I live in darkness
Now the pedals lay on the floor
I watched the roses bleed
I watched the roses die
I saw the ghost of innocence
It flew up to the sky
Now the roses are done bleeding
Innocence is dead
I'll keep this moment forever
Locked up in my head
