Rain

Rain

A Poem by Anissa Amer

Sometimes I pray
Maybe for some rain
Or could I pay
What's it worth?
Hey....

I could dance all night under the thunder
Prance around in the heat of the light
Splash through puddles, whos whispers surround me
And in life I know that i'm alright

I hear distant voices,
they scream and they're putrid
I answer in silence,
the night ...it is muted

Can anyone hear me.. the thunder is cracking
and lighting surrounds me
can anyone help please
i'm scared and I can't breathe...

The wind whips around in a vicious wisp
the rain I do pray halts this time
But who is to blame but myself
I asked it to be this way

Now, i'm asking you to fade.
All I wanted was a little rain
on a blurry day
to help the pain.
