WHAT DO YOU THINK ?

 

Why do people rarely write about

the things they think about ?

 

That`s right.   Everyone would like to

know what you think----including you.

You will write a poem about some

condition---love for example, but you

will not say what you think.

 

Intimacy is probably the problem.

You will not admit that you would like to

think about intimate things

Am I right ?

 

Suppose you like , really like country music.

Are you going to admit it ?   Boogie Woogie ?

I did`nt think so.

How about sex ?   How about dancing ?

How about the girl next door----fancy her ?

How about the guy who came to fix the floor

tile in the kitchen ?  Fancy him ?

 

I think there is a fantastic story in here, if you

would just admit how you feel

 

Can anyone really be a good writer without

admitting their feelings ?   Of course not, but

I have poured over hundreds of written pieces

without once uncovering how the author feels.

 

Think about this and let me know----maybe I

will know the next time I read one of you.

Wrong on all counts...most I've read are exactly what people are thinking or more so what they're feeling... kind of talking down to the poet here in my estimation, how does one write without thought anyway? What do I think? I think you're way off base...but if this is what 'you're' thinking, then you fit your own bill.

What I write is what I think feel, or it's just some random idea that pops into this thick skull of mine. ;) It's not all posted on this site though. :) Excellent point though. Many people believe they write should be determined by others.

I've only written one poem that had to do with sex. It almost sounds like you want to hear people write more erotically. I had a crush on the girl next door once but I don't think I need to write about it?

I don't write about my feelings because I don't like sharing them in the first place. In the second place I don't think people would find them interesting.
