WHO WANTS A BAD BOY ?

WHO WANTS A BAD BOY ?

A Poem by Eagle Cruagh
"

Recipe for finding an interesting man.

"
WHO WANTS A BAD BOY ?

Sir , I have been abused by my man.
But, sir, I wanted a man of mystery.
I enjoyed peeling back the layers.
I did`nt want a bore.

Sir, I enjoyed a man with secrets,
A worldly man.   But, sir, he chased women
He was not a normal man.
I want a man with secrets and then

Sir, I want a man who will tell tall tales
Men who have seen inside of jails
I want a man who laughs at conformity
But, sir, he don`t want to marry me.

But, sir, I want to find out what makes him tick
I don`t want  an ordinary hick
He must be exciting.  He must know how to deceive
He just has to be normal and straight with me

First thing that I thought when I read the title of this poem was 'Hey, I want a bad boy! lol I agree with the comment below... Although we might be in for a surprise when we do get what we went (oh we can dream). I love the way You repeated 'Sir' in this poem :)

I guess the saying "be careful what you wish for, it just might come true" would be perfect for this piece. I loved it, a little bit of humor but really serious in meaning. Great job :)

Remember me?
Well well well, it was what, six months without reading your addicting poems and you got better?
Clearly, you're the best there is. Never thought otherwise.

Reminds me of my ex. When we met I was quite needy, just coming out of a very bad time in my life. He kept telling me how he wanted me to be his equal, a true partner who could stand on my own, and helped me to heal. Then when I became the woman he said he wanted, he left me, saying I had changed too much.

This is great as we decent gentlemen know. Love the third stanza and the contradiction throughout! Very enjoyable and also I chuckled quite a bit at its truths.

It's the taming of the bad boy, or the belief that we can, that sets the challenge. They can be a low down, dirty stinkin', cheat liar machismo mulching maniac but if they're like mallow with us then we're sold. (Trouble is... one person will eventually twitch it out.) A poem worthy of debate :)
