Clouds of fog

Mist and spray

Deep booming voice

As fog horns pray

 

Dog digging furious

Chasing gooey duck

Digs then down the beach

Poor dog is out of  luck

 

Shrill sea-bird cry

Spattering rain

Drop the main sail

Home again

I love the flow and the smoothness of this poem. It paints a calm scene of the sea and I love the dog on the beach but I work at a groomers so what can I say. This has a relaxed quality to it that I really enjoyed and the last line sums up this piece well. HOME. There is nothing quite like home.

this is nice and simple, but chock full of imagery, like a good storybook or a painting. I see so many colors and shapes. i can smell the ocean and the rain hitting hot sand. it is all there, without you even having to say it. Clever, my eagle friend.
