Why ?

Why ?

A Poem by DIANA WILBANKS
"

A religious poem...hope you enjoy!

"

Remember the infant son

peacefully,lying in a manger

some came to see the holy one

others believed he was danger

some so full of fear

anger filled their hearts

A perfect being, near,

played the biggest part

Throughout his devoted life

So lovingly he cared for others

removing blindness,sickness and strife

for all our sisters and brothers

Many ridiculed,cursed and stoned

constantly,they called him liar

should've put him on a throne

to seek truth, and so admire!

why couldn't they plainly see

He was seeking perfection

their life eternal, would be

by following his direction

Now the decision sadly chose

it definately was our loss

cause as everyone surely knows

Jesus was crucified on a cross!

Diane, I love the title of this piece a great deal! Yes, why indeed. Why do people act the way they do? Why do some people not believe or even believe in one another at times. I really liked what you said here. nice job!

Great poem Diana, after all the ridicule and pain, the mockery, the gruesome death on the cross, to think that he went to hell after that to steal the power of death from the Liar, and it was our deaths he secured for eternity. It always blows me away that there are those who refuse to believe in him.
