Hello evil people!

How are you today?

You know who you are

We do not

Don't be shy

I'm speaking to you

Painted over in smiles and disguise

Sooner or later, like the leopard and the zebra

Your spots and stripes will be revealed

Creatures can not change who and what they are

Sitting pretty in the synagogue, mosque and church

Pray to your Unholy Trinity: Me, Myself and I

The rapist, pedophile, murderer have

One common denominator.... Evil....

Stealth and selfishness is your creator

Sin and crime are married in your soul

Embedded in your mind

Mental health providers know your secrets

Though you hide them well

We'll see you later, well, maybe not

We understand the distances from you and us

Is a matter of trust and care for others

And hell is not a pleasant place we want to visit

The place where you will dwell for all existence

This is for all the people victimized by such creatures.

Hi Joe, Thank you. Those of us who do not view ourselves as evil, will find defending our view of existence daunting when confronted with it. i was watching the president's speech today (sisi-from egypt) in the World Economic Forum fighting terrorism
And there were many clips of events that have been happening recently
of people holding a holy book in one hand and a gun in another
i was so moved
i cried

This war on evil is one we are involved in
all over the world
it is a threat to our unity as people
to love's death ...... Somehow a few minority have decided it is legitimate to scare everyone

I felt the evil souls of these people watching them murder

i guess your poem sparked alot within me

I would say that most people are good, trying to just get by with simple lives, paying bills and raising their children to be good. There will always be evil people. it is uncanny how poets here will have a same string of thought ...this is the third indictment of humanity i have read this morning ... i think you are spot on about evil ... but i especially like your authors note ..it is a good thing to remember (and pray for) victims ... for sure!

Good morning E. Thank you. Those people who damage and hurt others diminish themselves as human beings. Sadly, the unholy Trinity of "me, myself and I" is the foundation, the selfishness that breeds all sin and crime and is the common condition of the evil kind. Most people are good. Unfortunately we remember the bad ones in our lives because they cause so much damage. I was influenced to write this poem by someone at this sight. John Lennon said, Give Peace A Chance... Look what happened to him. You are probably right about that string of thought. Lets try to cut it. Have a peaceful day. Earl

~ i wouldn't call this an "enjoyable read"... ~ this is a very serious piece of poetry about those who are deranged and dysfunctional to the point of being evil... ~ it is a relief to know that perceptive people do not blame the victim... it's comforting to know that their actions have consequences... and at some point... these people will cease to be in the society of sane/normal/good people... and metaphorically speaking... they are already in hell... because they live a life which is not about peace but about violence... ~ excellent work, monsieur earl... ~ it's very empowering to read poetry which gives the reader a sense of poetic justice...
