Tenerife - Friend of the sun. Volcanic and full of passion

Sonnet On The Sun

One orb and only one shines on in life
You are much warmer than the morning sun
Remember volcanoes at Tenerife
Islands paradise, adrift, life begun

Hung there upon a palm tree, golden love
Conjured elements of joy forever
What favors the mind recalls from above
When in orbit moon pulls down the lever

But there within the walls of love light sealed
Glow of life can’t hide inside forever
There in the wicked world concealed, revealed
Winter breaks for kinder softer weather

Love joins with sun and moon as family
Their fortunes shine on, merge, amicably

Author's Note

Tenerife is one of the largest of the Canary Islands. It is remote and volcanic. Passions run deep and free in paradise.

looks like a paradise for sure .. especially enjoy the notion of romance as the amicable workings of sun and moon ... sounds like a special place and memories :)
