Don't Crush The Baby

Don't Crush The Baby

Don't Crush The Baby

Some babies are born bald as a cue ball

Some are born small for obvious reasons

Some are born young as it makes sense

Keep infant babies safe and out of traffic

Keep them off highways during rush hour

Keep them away from speeding vehicles

If you must, feed them, take them for a stroll

Newly laid asphalt is very hot and dangerous

It is no place to lay down a new born for a nap

They could be confused with a stone or rock

Steamrollers move about without warning

We hope you get the drift of this story

Wow, the ending was not at all what I was expecting. I guess the moral of this poem is keep babies safe at all times. I know only too well that there are some who don't. Some pretty powerful imagery you released here Earl.

Best wishes
