Skyfall

Skyfall

A Poem by Jack Kennedy
"

She keeps calling as the sky keeps falling...

"
My addictions are explicit
My happiness now a misfit
Misery I'm bound to solicit
Why does she always visit

My soul now feels evicted
To darkness I am addicted
How could this be mended
Everything is now conflicted

How will this all end for me
Will she ever let me be free
Only in due time we will see
I need to go, just let me be
 ...
Stop your calls out to me
Your gaze just enslaves me
As any other time you win
I pick you up and give in
Light you until you're warm
Fill a syringe, put you in my arm
The high gets better each time
I love you forever my perfect dime

Addictions are consuming. Though you want out the addiction is so compelling. You know the terms and choose to stay. Someone recently told me that her husband was a drug. It was like shooting him in her arm and then going, "Aaaahhhh." It was during a difficult time. You blame your addiction instead of yourself.

Ah thank you, i appreciate it fully. Thanks again
Well rhymed, and well written. I also wonder if this is about drugs or about a woman, both can be just as addictive, and both can be dangerous.

I noticed "Your gaze just enslave me" that should be enslaves

Well done.

also thanks for stopping .. read more
well that was very smart write since every reader can look at it in his own perspective, either as a lover or as a drug addict, so that was very well written, and the rhyme you used here was well penned. great work Jack :D

Wow, an amazing poem, Jack. I love the rhyme scheme and the metaphor of love/obsession as an addiction. Well done! Keep writing that great poetry. Oh, and thanks for the mention in your profile!
