My Paramour

My Paramour

A Poem by Thom
"

For me, this was a time of shedding my skin as a poet. Almost a story, of sorts, that can be related by nearly anyone and everyone that chooses to look past the feeling of knowing what love is...

"

My beauty,

My Beau,

My Baby,

My love,

My heart,

My lady,

That is to say,

My Sterling,

 My sweet,

My Forevermore,

My darling,

My dove,

My paramour

I am yours,

Love, just love me

Be here,

Love, for I am coming

Stay Near,

Let me love,

Let me kiss,

Let me hold you

Don’t go

For I am naked,

For my bones are black and dry,

And you quench my thirst

Be close to me

Fantastic, magnificent, amazing

With my hands shaking

And our one, single breath quivering

And quaking

I am done and undone

For the night is nearly over

And we begin to dance slowly and speak slower still

Just so:

My beauty, my beau, my baby,

My love, my heart, my lady,

That is to say,

My sterling, my sweet, my forevermore,

My darling, my dove, my paramour...

About
I'm the cast of human effigy born of erroding redding rust and the blown dust as camouflage set in stain. I'm the cause and the effect and the water that reflects. I'm the sound of two alien worlds .. more..
