Why do we lie?

A poem about lying, liars, and just lies. The author is not a fan of lying. The narrator is talking to herself about the complications of lying.

Dear, sweet soul why do I lie?

Why do others lie?

Well, we lie because lying makes life “easier,”

One would say.

However, lies do not make tears any drier,

Or make the time of suffering any shorter.

Why do I act like an actor?

Why am I cluttered and confused?

Oh, how I cannot be amused…

These lies that I create!

All they do is complicate!

You would think that lies could make life easy,

But they stress, kill, and make you angry.

You have regret each time they grow…

Why does this have to be so?

This is not the way life should go…

wow,i admit i have lied beofre but i hate doing it,that is why is someone ask a question i dont really give a answer,i love the poem you really felt something when you wrote it,didn,t you,but i can not really answer why we lie but i wish we would stop.
