Leaking Skies

Leaking Skies

A Poem by ElephantRoom

Sight begins to split in two
You'll never be the same as you
Were before right now
Memories they starts to fade
When alone you're so afraid
Of thoughts your shutting out

The sun is rising soon
You cried all through the night
To the new moon
Promising one day you'll be alright
Tears falling out your eyes
Like leaking skies

These are my wounds can you take it, heal it
By now you know me am I worth it I'm not perfect

Happiness it came and went
All the messages you sent
Received but unread
Chills run up and down your spin
Emptiness is left behind
in covers in your bed

The sun is rising soon
You cried all through the night
To the new moon
Promising one day you'll be alright
Tears falling out your eyes
Like leaking skies

These are my wounds can you take it, heal it
By now you know me am I worth it I'm not perfect
