Falling

Falling

A Poem by Eliana Thomas

A tear,

Panic.

I'd painfully regret

All those heart-breaking songs.

A stab of guilt
As I froze in dilemma.

With tears or anxiety
I started to fall

"Come back!”

The strange type in the text apart, you capture in this short freeverse the moment of parallysis as one sees the person one loves leaving yet has no power to prevent it from happening.

Thanks for the feedback! I hadn't noticed the typo so thanks for pointing that out.

About
My name is Eliana or Eli for short. I am a master procrastinator and introvert who just can't seem to learn that she'll never win NaNoWriMo. I have a bad habit of talking in 3rd person and... I really.. more..
