Once Upon a Winter

Once Upon a Winter

A Poem by Elise O'Haire
"

Just something I thought of...

"

Once upon a winter
I glanced outside my window
The pane was cold and icy
As was my frozen heart
All I had once held dear
All I had kept in my arms
Gone

Gone like a summer’s breeze
Here for a moment
And gone for months

Winter lasts much to long for me
Outside my window
And inside my heart

The tears I cry fall on frozen ground
My heart hurts
And nothing can thaw it out
All that I had once loved is now gone
Once upon a winter
