Floating

Floating

A Poem by Ellie Howard
"

very short poem yet again. I wrote this for my creative writing class. The theme was floating.

"
I'm Floating on the edge of humanity.
The crystalized water lining along my body.
I waited for this moment when i would be
cast into a drowning shore,
blue and azure...
the endless depth of an abyss.

My Skin is still floating.
My eyes are filmed over; very opaque.
I listened for the water to sing to me
and blacken my ears.
I waited so very long for when finally i would
sink below that crystalized lining,

never to float again.
