About life

You started like a seed
you see

small
tiny
delicate

something the naked eye couldn't see
but you grew
but still so small

you came along
a gift to us

Just like a seed
you kept growing

Kept on learning
Kept on knowing

Growing taller
Growing older

Like a seed
you grew into a plant like being

Then you matured
matured so well
you became a tree

Strong
everlasting

Eventually you cut the need for support
free to stand alone

Alone but never on your own

Soon to be
we did see
your journey began

New branches formed
To which we saw shoots

parts of you died
Others grew
Survived then died

you then dispersed
spread your seed

To become you
your family tree
