Tongue-Tied

Tongue-Tied

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

From the way
you strum that guitar,
moments with you stand still.
I could hold them forever.

Sometimes it's hard not
to fall in love with someone.
Something caused a flutter in my heart,
the reason why it's you I adore.

We were up for hours that night,
curled up on the couch.
You said nights wouldn't be so lonely anymore.
Something caused our hearts to align.

Shedding layers isn't always a bad thing.
In case you were wondering,
I managed to write you a love letter
cause I can no longer stand being tongue-tied.
