Half-Loved

Half-Loved

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

The way he
disappeared so quickly.
Come back to me...
stranger who
lured me here.
I shared half my soul.
What a beautiful,
beautiful lie it was.

Envy ate me up.
It never felt the same.
The beginning feeling of shame.
Everything felt contaminated,
but at least I wasn't
the only one to have been
abandoned by someone they loved.
Too much sweet would spoil me.
