Midnight Insanity

Midnight Insanity

A Poem by Lucy

Rain leaves trails on the foggy window

As the dusk approaches dawn

The winter light dances with fire

And I sit and scream silently

Birds sing songs of ancient times

Trees shed leaves like tears

Wind skitters across the lake

And I understand the reason

Darkness fights a battle with light

Lions let out their roar

Silk drapes the banister

And I shiver at the feeling

The stars reverse their patterns

Feathers drift through the sky

Earth churns with emotion

And I can't sense a thing

Blackness drapes the fresh noon air

And hyenas cackle in fear

Plants wither and spring up simaltaneously

And I think I might go mad

if im not already...

I sit and scream silently as the leaves shed tears, shivering while darkness battles the light. The world is choked with emotion and spinning round and round, yet, I can't feel a thing. My world goes black and even the animals laugh to cover their fear. I understand why.......and I think I may go mad........or maybe I am already.
Excellent Lucy, we have missed you!
