Clairvoyant

Clairvoyant

A Poem by Emily B
"

Written for the Magritte contest

"

small space
curled tightly
walls will crumble
wings will unfurl
what once was dormant

waiting

will               fly                  away

    air                           light                    wings

merrily                      singing

melodic                notes              perched             on              vision

The gravity of your piece really is surprising. It is more so considering the simplicity of the words you use. I really do think that you are talented. You are a magician with the ability to turn paper airplanes into carrier ships ready to rescue soldiers from the war. Imagine what you can do when your poetic voice meets metal.

You can probably end poverty as we know it.

air light wings

melodic notes perched on a vision.

i like the freedom of those lines very much and how you could think of the melodic notes as writing/ or/ or or/ the gentleness of a bird. I like it when poetry appears and does one thing that words are not supposed to do.

...perched on a vision...oh that's soooo good! I love the way the poem's structure crumbles away as you suggest with spaced words, it gives a sense of timeless, so beautiful Emily dear

The second law of thermodynamics...written in poetry...should I call it poetrydynamics? You have sent my mind off into a world of facts I thought I had forgotten.

Upond deeping thought, his poem represents to me how ideas spread...starting with one individual who teaches another who teaches another and eventually the idea seems to take on a life of its own...

What a wonderful word illustration of breaking boundaries, the love of freedom, and the beauty of reinvention!

The opening of the mind and words to expand into other minds... excellently fixed on the page, Emily. Good luck with the comp!
