A Poem by Emily Marie

wrote quick poem when I was sad

It's like I'm screaming

with no sound coming out.

And my voice is shaking.

But still

no sound comes out.

No one wants to hear

and no one wants to listen.

They don't hear my soft stomach growls.

They don't hear the midnights howls

of sad lullabies

and sniffles.

My nights are spent crying,

my dreams spent dying

and my days, lying

"I'm fine" "I'm okay"

But stare long enough

that smile fades away.

There's so many shades

varies of gray.

But to me

it's only white

or black.
