The Void ain't nothing but an Empty Space

The Void ain't nothing but an Empty Space

A Poem by Girl on the Moon
"

Making it good

"

The void ain’t nothing but an empty space

For us to paint a galaxy in,

Using colours mixed with our dreams

And applied with our outstretched fingers.

We’ll make a border out of lace

To keep the stars locked in,

And weave it into its bursting seams,

Where the darkness still often lingers

And we’ll make it our secret hiding place

From where it was once full of sin

And drink tea with fancy creams

And from our hearts, shoot lazer beams

Into the light’s dead-ringer

I've never read an A-B-C-D rhyming piece before. And I loved the concept; that we can paint our own realities, using the infinite space of "the void" as both ink and canvas. Bravo.

By the way, thanks for adding Cops & Robbers to your favorites. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
