The crying game

The crying game

A Poem by EmpressPoetess

The sun is setting behind me
a vision of gold

Your walking away from me
is a vision so cold

My eyes shimmer, damp with grief
our love is dying
pain brings no relief

I need moments of serenity
my heart to appease

with this aching pain in front of me
I can find no ease

my soul is ice, my heart so blue
already missing you
so sad, love is gone

touch your lips to mine, once more be kind
and douse the fire
that feeds my desire~
to keep holding on.
