JOTTED

JOTTED

A Poem by John Ihejieto
"

That moment it becomes real that you will see him no more.

"

Whisper to me

The walls have ears

I see a self-sacrificial scapegoat

One noon on a trip

Men spoke

Women spoke

Friends spoke

He poked with his coke

And wind beneath

To kiss Thanatos

Friend of Osiris

So soon to forget

Your brand

Your make

You are made here

Flesh married with blood

Unlike Hebe

Who abode with Gaia

Sit with Phoebe

And party with Dionysus

If he wants sleep

Hypnos courier the balm

And he Morpheus to the congregation of Freya

If he is wounded

Asclepius send the mail

Now you see who you are

Breakable

Amend now your ways

And cease to break people’s heart

For we

Just like you

Can break any time

Any day

This moment let’s cherish

Thus says Mnemosyne

It's beautiful but really pushed my knowledge of Greek mythology. And did u mean "cease" rather than "seize"?
