From another poetry slam. We were given a topic and had 5 mins to come up with a poem/story. No edits. Sorry for any mistakes. 

 

Topic: Winter, Love

 

Winter Time Lovin’

It’s all we’re good for.

Your eyes sparkle against the dark snowy sky.

Your skin so white,

Snowflakes fall and blend into you.

 

Winter Time Lovin’

My heart only beats for you in the cold.

Your hugs only ignite my heart,

When your breath is cold and your arms are warm.

 

Winter Time Lovin’

The snow is falling

My heart is beating.

There’s just no other feeling.

 

Winter Time Lovin’

We’re dancing in the snow.

Take my hand, let’s move on slow.

Spin me round and round,

Let’s yell all around town.

 

Winter Time Lovin’

There’s no other place I’d rather be,

Than under the gray skies,

Snow falling,

With your hands in mine.

 

Winter Time Lovin’

The skies are turning blue,

The air is turning warm.

Soon our love will melt away.

 

Winter Time Lovin’

 It’s time to go.

Until next time,

When the skies turn grey,

The air turns cold,

And it begins to snow.

I’ll see you soon,

When your eyes begin to sparkle against the snow.
