I Want To Be Strangers With YouA Poem by Mehak MushtaqIt's not like I knew you so much that forgetting became the only option. It's neither that I knew so little, that neglecting was natural. Flowers - beautiful or dull, they ought to fall. Dreams - real or fake, they ought to wake up. It's not hate, it's not anger. It doesn't need to be. Isn't being strange, a way of existing? The reason is done, co existing. I don't know enough of calculations, You do the math of our compassion. We tried being friends, we tried being lovers, then just a little acquaintance. Being strange is everlasting relation. I not being enemies, I'm not a foe, just being mathematical, we've been enough practical and emotional. Leaving no trail of me, no clue, I want to be strangers with you.
