Passage

Passage

A Poem by Epikos

In front of me is the next stage, a level I am unsure I can reach
Step forward or stay behind forever
Quivering, shaking, sweating

You were here for so long that I feel I need someone to push me closer to it
But that would make it achieved through something not of my own strength

What has seemed an endless journey is one that has actually barely begun
My iniation for something better

Relying on your charity, resting on your shoulder; I can no more
Step forward or stay behind forever
Trembling, swearing, crying

There is still something inside my chest here, hiding, or maybe hidden by myself
I was taught how to search for it and I will until I find it
I think it's called courage

Learning that being alone should not make me lonely and other things like that
Are the words you left engraved in me

About
I like to write; sometimes I can only translate my feelings into hackneyed garbage, other times I'm satisfied with what I've done. Regardless, I'll post both here and you can decide for yourself which.. more..
