My Turn

My Turn

A Poem by Erica
"

A poem I wrote a while ago, simply based on random thoughts.

"

As if it will always last. . .

We still Know, this too, will past. . .

Lost it thoughts that bring on more,

slowly challenging, you abhor.

Changing words,

to actions, absurd!

No. I think not.

Its way to easy to decide when you think you'll get caught. . .

even easier if you will not.

Pure. Plain. Shy.

Not me.

I am way to fun to be.

Outgoing. Confident. Proud.

Why should I deny me the right to be me?

Whether you agree or not is not MY concern.

I am more worried about taking my turn.

My turn to do what I need to do, in order to double my chances.

Taking twelve steps forward, to further my advances.

I need to grow -- To learn more,

so that I know how to help.

Help you, and others to see the small flame within.

Ignite your potential, so we can all win.

My learning means you turning.

Turning over a new leaf.

Beginning your next chapter.

This one is sure to be less of a disaster,

filled to the brim with hope, joy and laughter.

If you could only see what I see in you,

believe how I believe in you,

the rest of the world could do the same.

Me and you.

Darlin', We could spark change.
