Not Good Enough

Not Good Enough

A Poem by ~Wandering Soul~

Barely feel real
Take another breath
Take another step
Just don’t look back
There is enough people
To show it to you
Without you forcing it upon yourself!

I’m just not quite good enough
Not quite whole enough,
healed and unbroken enough
Not deserving, barely breathing
I’ll take another hit
Fall back down
Beneath this dirt, is where I belong

I took a step away
Tried to gather the mess
Make sense of the thoughts
They swam and swayed
Shot through one another
Merged and congealed
Until their memories
Shot my soul to pieces once again

I’m just not quite good enough
Not quite whole enough,
healed and unbroken enough
Not deserving, barely breathing
I’ll take another hit
Fall back down
Beneath this dirt, is where I belong

With these eyes closed
Even in the black
the guilt
You wouldn’t dare let me forget
I made mistakes
Never said I was proud
Let me forget this s**t
In pieces!

I’m just not quite good enough
Not quite whole enough,
healed and unbroken enough
Not deserving, barely breathing
I’ll take another hit
Fall back down
Beneath this dirt, is where I belong
