Her Own Box

Her Own Box

A Poem by H.E.
"

I am doing my best to accept and understand that people will not always give you back what you give them and that most of the times they won't fulfill your expectations...Stupid expectations!

"

Put her in a box

Ugly and small

But at the end it's her own box

Close it

Wrap it

Leave it

Then you go out,

Live your life.

But do not let her go out,

Do not let her live her life.

Expect her to be there

Because you need her

She is there…

She was there…

But, my dear,

She can't be the same

The same who she was before -

Satiated and colorful

You didn’t give her sunlight

You didn’t sing her songs

You didn't dance with her

...You weren’t there for her

Not that she ever needed you,

She had enough…herself

But she just...just desired you

She could have been always

Always be truly yours…
