Fire In The Lightbulb

Fire In The Lightbulb

A Poem by EternityWolf101
"

A cheesy poem I decided to post for no apparent reason.

"

Dear bedside light

Fire in the lightbulb

Why do you burn so bright?

With your sparks an orange

And your light a blue

You always burn so bright

Your warmth caress my heartache

Your fingers kiss my cheek

You will always be, to me, my light

The memories you share with me

Remind me of my own

A never-ending road lit by a dim light

You help me sleep at night

When my hands can only grasp my chest

Oh fire in the lightbulb

You will always burn so bright

I didn't find this cheesy at all..... the mind works in very "unorthodox" ways in the way it affects thought and emotion.
