The Risk Of Staying Away, Or The Flaw To Following

The Risk Of Staying Away, Or The Flaw To Following

A Poem by VertoAtrum
"

There's someone I might see soon, by chance. He and I have a bad past, but some good memories It's up to him to approach me, apologize, act like an a*s, or

"

Your name is a metallic taste in my mouth,

Like blood bitten from a tender lip,

And though my thoughts don't often emerge,

It's always hard not to let them slip

Your figure feels as if it's behind me,

Watching and taunting at the things I do,

Your eyes pierce the crowd, incinerating me,

Yet I am the wolf that's hunting you

Your mouth moves, but I don't listen to a word,

Beside me you so flawlessly flew,

And if I were to feel you brushing elbows,

There's no-one on Earth who could tell what I'd do

Your memory is harsh reminder of my flaws,

But long gone are moments of wasting tears,

I am afraid of you and your pride no longer,

If threatened, I'll break you, reliving your greatest of fears
