Deceiver's Downfall

Deceiver's Downfall

A Poem by VertoAtrum
"

Recents events....

"
Excuse me if I hold your hand,
Excuse me if I stay,
It's not a sin to give a s**t,
Or cry for yesterday

I'm sorry if I look away,
I'm sorry if I stare,
It's not my fault your eyes are lies
Your smile's hardly fair

I cannot just give you myself,
I cannot just obey,
It's times like this I feel encaged,
Like I don't have a say

Your breath is hollow, cold,
Your breaths are short, insistent,
It's about now I lose myself
All done being resistant

You toy with me wordlessly,
You toy with all I've known,
It's easy to sleep beside me,
But I still sleep alone
