James Watts Tat

James Watts Tat

A Poem by ettorney
"

I liked the tattoo so I wrote a poem about it.

"
So my friend that's one bad a*s tattoo.
What's it say when shown that way?
Marking power and strength one just might say
A skeletal avatar's now inked on you.

It shows the card you choose to play,
The ace of spades held in its hand.
That skull and bones shows your demand
From this minute, this hour, the insipid day.

Yes, my friend that's one cool tat.
The pain, the stick, a small price to pay
To imprint on you the card you lay
Before time kills the now and knocks you flat.

Not time nor tears nor need to pray
Will change your mind when you go to bat
You know where your head is at

That tat, the image and the ink,

So scribed and healed; now here to stay.

This is a witty poem in many ways.. James is a nice guy and fine writer.. it is inspiring for me as a want to be writer that you were able to write a fine poem on a tattoo.. not a tattoo i would choose but fits James well..
Very nice poem .. and an honor for our friend, James.

Enjoyed..

You are a superb slice of lifer! All writers draw from their own experiences, even when they are several degrees and planets removed, but your stories and poems allow me to stand in your shoes. I like your writing!

I like it. Has some kick to it and witty as well. I am honored someone did a poem on one of my tattoos.
