A Poem by Evelyn

Old work

I'm shattered to pieces, falling shards towards the ground
though I watch myself sprinkler like glitter
weak little cretin I drench you with toxic liquid
and every shard of body bubbles
smoke escapes the skin that rests on the ground
now the land is hazy

Step among the soft broken limbs
admire the arm that is whole yet signed by Mad
some parts are blowing in the wind
the heavier parts remain on the dirt and sand

I stand above this pitiful wretch
with marks beneath every stitch
still, after years it doesn't make sense
still, every part of me continues to twitch

Shackled to the confinements of the unknown
I long for a body to hold me
for in these moments are mine alone
yet I have room to share
come to me in my darkened home
come to me when my mind is bare

A fine piece Evelyn, The points are quite distinct for a poet to see...

I respect all. I write what I feel and whether you like it or not is irrelevant more..
