A Poem by EverEmma

Beauty is Magical

Thick morning light came through the window like a sword stabbing its opponent

the blinding rays seared into my eyes and soaked my soul

 the breeze coming from

the window refreshed my mind and shook my heart

birds sounded the alarm that winter is coming near with their soft calling

in a melodious pattern that greeted the rising sun

the clouds are like guardians of the sky, capturing prisoner within their frothy grasp

but the music of the waves below was as magical as life itself, always creating new and diverse ways to impress

This is a nice poem. You have a nice grasp of word choice. You seem to have a future as a writer. Keep writing!

PS - Dear Young Writer - As a writer and a person who loves to read good writing I can't ignore grammatical errors. Our words should be stepping stones...grammatical errors are stumbling stones. It isn't realistic to ask your reviewers to ignore them. What you can do is tell us your poem is still in the draft stage and you want us to comment on the scene or content. Knowing you will fix spelling and grammar later. That is probably what you meant.

A comment for young writers: Be who you are, say what you feel, those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

All the best to you. Keep writing.
