Second Glance

Second Glance

A Poem by EvilAngel

When the walls around me

come crashing down like meteors

I know you will be there to put them back into place

and when everything that was once beautiful

becomes dead and ugly

I know you will be there to make them bloom again

when my tears fall

when my heart stings

I know you will be there to make me heal

when my life turns to s**t

I know you will be there to turn it back around

and when I feel like I'm dying

begging for breath

gasping for life

I take a second glance

but no one is there

I love this poem I love how the beginning starts.
And I love how the ending ends.

A great twist.
The empty spaces behind us are just painful reminders that in the end, we're in this thing by ourselves. It's quite hard to trust someone that isn't there. Hard to make love to someone that refuses to show themselves...am I correct?
You could possibly make a partner to this poem in which you confront you attempt to find the person that doesn't exsist. :/ Am I making any sense whatsoever? :) Great poem :D
